We need your help, now more than ever. You can play a crucial role in our success. Following are PPKM’s immediate volunteer opportunities, all are located in our Suzanne E. Allen Administrative Center in Overland Park, Kansas.
Desk Attendant - Greet PPKM clients & guests as they visit our Administrative Office, answer and direct incoming calls and assist with various clerical projects.
Finance - Help our Finance Department with filing & mailing of patient records and vendor invoices.
Development Team - Assist our Development Team with fundraising, phone calls, filing, database updates and mailings.
Additional Volunteer Opportunities - Help PPKM’s other departments such as the Volunteer Department, Education and Public Affairs.

Volunteers opened the doors in 1936 to a small health center that grew to become Planned Parenthood. These dedicated individuals were the foundation of Planned Parenthood's success and its role in the community, and they still are. As a volunteer for Planned Parenthood of Kansas & Mid-Missouri you have an opportunity to contribute your time and talents in a variety of ways. Because of the uniqueness of our programs, activities are available during the daytime, during the week, on the weekends and some evenings. Your commitment can be tailored to meet your schedule. There is a “role for everyone” and some of our opportunities are listed below.
Event Volunteer
-Assist in day-of-event activities
-Become an event committee member
-Assist in planning and organizing events
Administrative Volunteer
-Prepare supporter mailings
-Provide general clerical support
-Assist with special projects
Advocacy & Outreach Volunteer
-Join a Reproductive Health Action Team in Kansas or Missouri
-Participate in visibility events, rallies & tabling events
-Assist organizers in phone banking, data entry & special advocacy projects
Education Volunteer
-Advocate for education & health center services at community events
-Co-facilitate sex-education workshops
-Help with classroom preparation & instruction
Health Center Volunteer
-Make and verify patient appointments
-File lab reports and charts
-Provide office support
